Financial year 2016 to 2017 - callout statistics

Sturt SES volunteers responded to 1532 requests for assistance within Sturt SES response area in the 2016/2017 financial year. Members also responded to a further 93 incidents outside of our primary response area. 

Your local volunteers responded to a variety of incidents ranging from Fire Support, Storm & Flood emergencies, Rescues, Building Impacts to Structure Collapses and Land & Air Searches.

That equates to well over 200,000 hours, 11.7 million minutes that members of your local community have stopped what they are doing, left family and friends behind to help others in the community during their time of need.

I am sure you will all agree that our volunteers have done a tremendous job, we should all be extremely proud to have the volunteer rescuers from the Sturt State Emergency Service serving our local community.
