Sturt SES Local Headquarters (LHQ) is located at 20 Ackland Hill Road, Coromandel Valley. We are co-located with the Coromandel Valley Country Fire Service. The precinct contains a communications and operations room, along with a large training room and kitchen facilities.

On Saturday 5th of August 2017, Sturt SES officially opened the new 4 bay vehicle shed. This build was funded by the Emergency Services Levy totalling more than $500,000. This build added 4 vehicle bays allowing Sturt SES to store response vehicles and trailers in an operationally ready capacity which was not able to be provided prior to this build. Since the opening of this shed, Sturt SES has been able to provide the community with significantly improved response times to emergencies.

Thank you to everyone that attended the official opening including SA's Emergency Services Minister, Hon. Peter Malinauskas, Sam Duluk MP, Martin Hamilton-Smith MP, Nat Cook MP, Mayor Bill Spragg, Glenn Spear - Mayor of Mitcham, Karen Hockley - Councillor for Mitcham, Darryl Parkslow from City of Onkaparinga, SASES Chief Officer Chris Beattie and SASES staff and volunteers.
